This sectional focuses on clarifying that student learning through faculty curriculum mapping, curriculum guides, UbD unit plans and standards checklists. Each of these tools can guide teacher collaboration and discussions to align student learning outcomes, content, and skills across a school. Each can be used to reflect upon and/or plan what is taught in a teacher’s own classroom and then analyze what is and what is not taught across a school building. Through these curriculum conversations, teachers can work together to create an aligned learning progression as students progress through the grade levels in a school.
