Our conference is designed to impact learning at your school. In order for professional development to affect what happens in classrooms, teachers need to actively and deeply interact with the concepts. Learning that will last beyond the week of the conference requires practice and coaching. In order to have the biggest impact on students, teachers and schools must hold themselves accountable to practice, discussion, and collaboration.
With these goals in mind, this conference is providing four pathways, or tracks for teachers to invest their focus and leave with high-impact tools for their ministry. In addition, the conference tracks will further develop the concept of culture as we learn the key components of a…

Student Care
My Students Belong
As educators, we firmly believe that each student is a unique individual and child of God, who should feel loved and supported in their school and classroom. Therefore, it is imperative that we not only engage with diverse learners but also strive to serve all learning needs effectively. In this track, we will explore the vital components of fostering a culture of Christian love and inclusion within our school communities.

Assessment
My Students Are Learning
The culture of assessment embraces the responsibility we have to implement effective instruction. This represents an area of great potential growth and change in our WELS schools. We hold the mindset that student outcomes are driven by teacher actions. We are capable of improving our instructional practices and taking appropriate action by embracing the data we collect formatively and summatively.

Collaboration
My Team Matters
Our WELS schools have been richly blessed with educators who have unique strengths and abilities, making up the full body of Christ (I Cor 12:12-31). Fostering each individual educator’s isolated strengths into a cohesive team approach for a school can be daunting. However, when we focus our energy on raising the collective expertise of the group, a culture surfaces that thrives on continual improvement for our students.

Ministry Cultivation
My Ministry is Positioned to Grow
Ministry is the heart of our work. The word of the Lord is powerful to work faith in hearts. He has entrusted believers with sharing that saving message in personal ministry and called some to do that work in full-time ministry. WELS congregations, schools, early childhood centers, and other ministries have opportunities to connect to a wide range of people, but no one ministry can reach everyone. When we plan and coordinate our ministry efforts, we can point believers to opportunities for growth in the word and service to the kingdom, motivating us to expand our reach and share the word with more people.
